Parts Warranty Policy
All new parts supplied by Voto Limited are warranted to be free from defects in material and manufacturing workmanship under normal use and service. Unless otherwise stated, our standard warranty coverage does not exceed 18 months from the original invoice date or 12 months after installation, whichever comes first. Specific components may be subject to different warranty periods as outlined below:
Diesel Engine Parts
Internal components (e.g., pistons, liners, rings) and external components (e.g., pumps, turbochargers) are covered for 6 months after installation, not exceeding 12 months from the invoice date.
Ground Engaging Tools (GET)
Items such as blades, tips, adapters, and side cutters are warranted against premature breakage for 90 days from the invoice date under normal working conditions.
Undercarriage Components
Undercarriage parts, including track links, rollers, idlers, and sprockets, are covered by a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase.
Electrical & Hydraulic Components
These parts are warranted for 6 months after installation, but not exceeding 12 months from the original invoice date, provided proper installation and handling are observed.
Special Order Parts
Non-stock or outsourced items (e.g., non-Voto branded, secondary vendor products, surplus, or used parts sold “as is”) are not covered by this warranty policy unless otherwise specified. These items will be marked “Special Order” on the invoice.
General Limitations & Responsibilities
If a warranty claim is approved, Voto Limited may, at its discretion:
- Parts: Replace the defective part or issue a credit.
- Labor: Upon prior approval, reimburse labor cost up to $30/hour, based on local standard rates. Overtime or holiday rates are not covered.
- Consumables: Upon prior approval, reimburse reasonable costs for non-reusable items (e.g., oils, filters, coolant) directly related to the failure.
Exclusions: This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, improper installation, accident, abuse, weather exposure, lack of maintenance, or any modification or tampering. Consequential damages, such as loss of revenue, downtime, towing, or third-party claims, are not covered under this policy.
Claim Procedure
All warranty claims must be reported via Voto Limited’s service contact or authorized representative. A written claim description is required. Once submitted:
- A claim number will be assigned and tracked.
- If inspection is required, a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) will be issued.
- Parts returned without an RGA will not be accepted.
- Only defective parts approved for return may be sent back. All returns must retain original labels and packaging. Damage due to poor packing will void the claim.
Rejected claims will be held for 30 days. Warranty coverage is extended only to original Voto Limited customers and is non-transferable.
All legal matters regarding this warranty will be handled exclusively in the jurisdiction of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
